The first two photos show Salmon Creek in full flood and then on a milder day
the same area with plantings and a Willow revetment built as part of the project.

The Federal Northwest Emergency Assistance Program (NEAP), is providing funding for labor. The project is intended to provide temporary employment to commercial salmon fishermen who have been put out of work by federal fishing-area closures. The habitat restoration will not only benefit the spawning steelhead, salmon and their fry, but should put more fish in offshore fisheries. These 2 photos show the fisherfolk at work building a Willow revetment and planting Willow trees in the riparian corridor.
